Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone else has seen the CITRA system...It looks pretty good and might help to boast activity a bit? Because we could modify it on our side in that each military represents either the Exarchal Militia or some form of large illegal group? Heres a link for it;)- docs.google.com/View?docid=dn8fhbc_80c5hxnghbPlease tell me your thoughts on it and then either I'll bug Joe into writing a bill for it or I may write one myself Deux Vult!

Hi. Just saw this topic and thought I should drop in and say hi .... CITRA is a really good system, if I do say so myself (Bayen wrote it, so no false modesty in that statement). The basic idea is that it's a recwar system linked to an economy - so you can use the recwar part to fight civil wars, threaten bad rulers etc, as well as join in wars overseas with other CITRA nations. On the economic side, you can use the money to buy units, as well as to have a normal economy on the side (well, "normal" in the sense of "real" ie real people buy things from eachother, as opposed to simulated. Even if you do nothing more than pay government salaries with the spare money, the fact that you're getting regular income and regularly spending it (on units) means you have the holy grail of micronationalism - a working economy. Income is nominally from land controlled - you can choose whether to divide up areas of control between you, and gain regular income that way, or, like Novatainia, the government take all the money, and pay it out to citizens for other things. The one possible downside for you guys is that magic is allowed. That being said, nobody from Novatainia is going to invade you (and we're the biggest magic users), and the Tokians are probably too busy fighting eachother to invade you. For your internal uses, you're unlikely to even notice the magic - but if you fight outside Nova England, you'll probably come across it. Just something to be aware of. Bayen or I could tell you simple precautions to take to avoid much trouble with magic. Finally, a huge advantage for a nation your size - you get an active judge at call to help you with internal fights. As judge of CITRA Bayen's obligated to judge whatever conflicts you decide to start involving CITRA units - and it makes it so much easier for a proper civil war or equivalent if no citizen has to sit out and judge

Aye it is something that I am pretty interested in! Also I'm guessing it would be fought via the CITRA site?

Yes, fighting is via the CITRA website (which is starting to seem not such a silly idea now we have more nations getting involved), the economic stuff is via Bayen's IRC teller (basically like a command prompt bank and military shop in one, though you can also send him stuff via email)

Hi! Glad to see some interest in CITRA. I hope you'll like it. :]
In response to your question, I actually take care of pixel counting myself right off the MCS map, but if you want to double-check my numbers or do theoretical calculations yourself, I use GIMP's Histogram tool.
Let me know about any questions you have, too, I'll be glad to help.
