The October Border Skirmishes
Well as Suggested by Jeremy I do believe that a short small scale insurrection would be a good way for us to rebuild some of that long lost activity. Whilst it is also a great way for some of us to get the rusty machines of war going whilst testing out some new tactics. The purpose of this thread is basically so we can brainstorm some ideas about the backstory, parties involved and any other various factors. Well I spent a bit of time the other day working on some ideas which we can now discus and expand on!
Parties
The Villiers: The Villiers are a kind of extremist mormon style sect that has over taken the evacuated zones around the North East Coast. They are lead by an ex-preacher Henry Villier and have been supported in military terms by the Seperatist SLA. Before the National Evacuation they were a tiny minority who were normally ignored or blasted literally by People's Militia Units. But now thanks to the chaos of the evacuation they have gained support through the large streams of refugees that were unable to make it to the save locations. The organisation has placed Heartpool as its De Facto Capital which means that the Air Force is unable to simply bomb them out of existance. However there increasing military strength is a cause for concern for the Grinstead Defence Force.
The Grinstead County Defence Force: This is essential the unit of the Armed Forces that has been put in place to hold the large walls that surround Grinstead County. It is made up of a mixture of People's Militia Units, Army as well as a large majority of Special Police Units. The GCDF will act as the main Nova English Unit used in the conflict as it will enable use to train with a smaller unit but with a diverse composition of skills.
Backstory
Well basically what I came up with was that the Villiers attacked a Checkpoint in the far north east of the Grinstead County. Although it was quickly beaten back the GCDF has decided to end the Villiers sooner rather than later. Hence they have sent a large force in order to deal with the Villiers however the Villiers themselves have decided to stage a full scale attack on the Borders. Which has lead to numerous cross-border raids and skirmishes.
Well everyone please give me your ideas and thoughts on the matter!
