Greetings from Passas

The calm, warm water of the Captive Sea around Melton was disrupted by the arrival of the fleet of Passasian ships, continuing their tour of the region. Earlier, the crews and their families had celebrated Passas' new constitution in Bosworth, and before that in Alexandria. The tour was nearly over, but the people aboard the five massive ships were still eager to celebrate alongside in many more foreign lands. The arrival in Nova England was one of the most anticipated stops along the trip. The Passasian crews admired Nova England for such things as it's successful space program, it's impressive military and unique culture. The members of each crew hoped that this visit may bring the nations, the Free Society of Passas and Nova England, closer together. They didn't carry any treaties with them, Gralun law forbade it, but they did carry with them the hope that the two nations may share in the spirit of friendship.

Nova England is the next stop along the way for the Passasian fleet, which is touring the Captive Sea Region in honor of the nation's new constitution. I look forward to my time here, and hope that you may visit Passas as well at www.phpbbserver.com/fspassas/index.php?mforum=fspassas. Thanks.

Sire, permission for La Stella-de-Mort and the newly commissioned HMNS Resistant to sail out, greet the Passasian fleet and fire a 21 gun salute.

Commodore Fitzurse surveyed the approaching fleet of ships, they were big, on any other occasion he would have prepared to fire all guns, but today these ships were to be greeted with the world famous Nova English hospitality, he glanced starboard at his first vessel, La Stella-de-Mort, and smiled remembering good times, its crew was preparing its main guns ready for the salute.

Today it was a 21 gun salute from the newly commissioned HMNS Resistant (Primus-Arxcis Class) and La Stella-de-Mort, Commodore Fitzurses private battleship, something which would be a spectacular sight even for the most experienced and war hardened seaman, both ships began running their colours up and the Nova English standard now billowed in the breeze.

The full crew was assembled on deck in their blue NBG uniforms, with their Assault Rifles against their shoulders and their shiny boots on their feet, yes, this was certainly a welcoming and great sight for the incoming Passasian servicemen. The crew of La Stella-de-Mort was also assembled on the deck of the ship, with their customised assault rifles at their sides.

As HMNS Resistant and La Stella-de-Mort approached the fleet of ships they began to fire their main batteries, there was a loud 'crack' and a huge cloud of smoke shot out of the guns.

Smoke now whirled around the two ships in the warm summer breeze, the Commodore and the rest of the officers stood in the Bridge and remarked positively over the last 10 minutes events.

We could open a small church in one of the near by islands...Though do note that the Nova English in sim are lets say just a tad xenophobic with regards to religion...
