As representative-designate of the Kingdom of Brettania-in-Exile we send greetings and salutations to our longtime friends and kin the Nova English.

Per our discussions with Lord Webb, we would like to pursue a closer relationship with Nova England. As may be seen by recent news, the old Nova English military base of Fort Irons has been reopened by the Brettish government and designated our new military headquarters. We recognize that Nova England has a long history associated with the Sandwich Islands, and wish to assure your nation that Nova English culture will be upheld by those descended from your kith and kin. With the Skerry Islands serving as the new home for Brettish survivors we see the potential for a strong trading partnership with Nova England. Nova English access to raw materials on the Keltian mainland are in demand on the Brettish market, and likewise our maritime products could be traded for those very same goods to Nova England.

Furthermore, we wish to follow up on prior discussions about trading defunct military material for raw goods. The HMS Veracity remains on the table for trade, even though still in use, though we are willing to sign a formal agreement to transfer ownership of the vessel.

Please let us know how we may be of service and improve our relations. We look forward to rebuilding the strong bonds that once existed between the Brittans and Nova English.

Dear Lord Hamilton,

Many thanks for the kind word. As noted by our previous communications with your government, we are keen to uphold the traditional bond that has always existed between our peoples and with the ongoing activities of certain imperialistic nations around Keltia this bond between the Britannic people is more important than ever.

As such we believe that ensuring that your government is as best equipped as possible to defend itself against the Sea Reavers and other hostile entities is of the upmost importance. Your government’s recent move to utilise Fort Irons is a most pleasing first step and the Ministry of Defence with your permission is interested in dispatching a training team to develop recruits within your defence forces and provide engineering support to the fort’s reconstruction. In addition to this as part of the deal for the eventual transferal of ownership of the HMS Veracity, we would like to offer an initial pro-forma payment in the form of small arms shipments and light military equipment to help outfit your forces with minimal maintenance costs. Should you be interested in this, the Ministry of Defence will put together a more detailed proposal.

In terms of ongoing civil partnership, there are a number of Nova English companies keen on providing their services to assist in infrastructure works. The projects and proposals that they are interested in submitting to you for review include infrastructure works that take into account the current resources available to your government. An example of one being to construct a new railway based on old Nova English/New Britannian tracks and utilising steam locomotives to enable movement of large quantities of goods within the islands.

Greetings Colonel Hild,

We welcome any support that is offered in regards to bolstering the defenses at Fort Irons. Likewise, a payment in the form of small arms, munitions and such as that which we are as-yet unable to produce on our own would also be welcome. The state is hard at work trying to improve our industrial capacity, thus any engineers or technicians that could be spared to help consult and provide oversight to our projects would also be extremely helpful.

Along a similar vein we also welcome Nova English companies and an investment in our infrastructure. The coastal rail between Pharos and Melton is already operational, but we wish to expand this to provide mass transit to all of Skerryvore. Duras is in even a lesser state of development, and is indeed very rural; thus investment there will also be necessary in upcoming seasons. In short, any assistance will be both appreciated and well-utilized.

Dear Lord Hamilton,

Apologies for the delay in my response, however I can now expand upon our previous offer on the provision of small arms. The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that it has sufficient stock to release the following equipment to yourselves;

Ondrysen Rifle – 2000 No.
N.E.W. 9mm – 300 No.
N.E.W. GPMG – 100 No.
N.E.W. MILAN – 40 No.
N.E.W. S92 Sniper Rifle – 80 No.
N.E.W. SMG5 – 150 No.

As previously noted the Nova English Army would like to establish a training group to assist in the training of Brettish military forces. This group would consist of a small number of instructors and officers specialising in (horse) mounted reconnaissance, coastal defence operations, Déor-fýst, etc. This unit would be known as the Nova English Training Unit – Brettania. In addition to this the Logistics Support Unit shall dispatch two platoons of engineers and draftsmen to assist in the construction of military infrastructure.

In relation to the expansion of the rail system, the Nova English government can highly recommend Síðian Rail Services. This company has been a major partner to the Nova English government following its reestablishment and has worked tirelessly to rebuild the rail network here in Nova England. Having spoken to our contacts within the firm, they have provided confirmation that they will be making contact with your government to discuss proposals.
