Greetings,
I come on behalf of the Kingdom of Hamland.
I am not sure if you are aware, but I am inclined to think you are, but Hamland has had an interest in Governing the Virgin Islands for some time. They currently stand in the middle of our territory and have been an annoyance for our sovereignty for a long time. I wish for this dispute to be settled.
Firstly, we would like to ask if they could be moved into our control. I know that Nova England has lost a lot of land in the past but retained these islands. I am sure that Nova England could colonise somewhere else. If this is done then we shall keep these as the Virgin Islands and Churchill and retain their culture.
The Second thing is that we would like, as a minimum, all RADAR stations and anything else which monitors our territory to cease. In its place we can work as closer friends and we can provide all information your state may require.
I have been asked to carry out these talks to find a diplomatic solution to the matter.
I hope this can be sorted quickly.
Thanks, Lewis

As Governor of the Virgin Islands I object entirely. The Virgin Islands have never posed a threat to Hamland since coming under Nova English rule and your belligerant stance is the only obstacle to this peace continuing. I am sure that I speak for His Majesty when I say that sovereignty of the islands is not up for debate.

Dear Sir, In light of what the Governor of the Virgin Islands has said I would like to say that he does represent my current views. In that Nova England and the Nova English Government as a whole does not wish to relinquish its sovereign right to rule the islands since their transfer from the Britannic Empire. Firstly because we have invested time and effort in the cultural development of these islands as well as bloodshed when a rebellion by natives a couple of years ago. Since then the islands have become an important military Redoubt and is home to one of the largest weapons manufacturing and research sites in the Fatherland.
In regards to the long standing deployment of Radar sites on the Virgin Islands which were established on the 7th of August 2008. The main purpose for these is that should god willing the main Britannic Sandwich Islands fall to any aggressors then the Virgin Islands would become the De Facto Capital territory for Provincia. In that the islands would act as a last bastion in protecting citizens that would be evacuated from the affected territories. Hence a strong military presence is needed for that reason as well as protecting assests such as the many munition plants that are based throughout the islands.
I would however like to thank you for taking the time to contact us in any case and that I hope the information that I have provided you is sufficient enough to provide to the Hamish Parliament.
Best Regards,
Josephus I
Crown Monarch of Nova England.

I would also like to draw the attention of the Hammish representative to this map, dated November 2006: www.micras.org/Archive/maps/Claimsmap--009--9.4a.pngNote the Virgin Islands feature here, Hamland does not. In fact, it takes us until August 2007 before Hamland actually appears on Micras. Bearing in mind that the Virgin Islands have been a culturally important part of Anglian Micronationalism since before Hamland even existed, i see no reason why we would even consider responding to your unprovoked and unreasonable demands. The radar bases are an important part of the civil aviation capacity of the Britannic territories and dismantling them to comply with the paranoia of Hamland would be mindless nonesense.

I represent the Fatherland, Martel-Feuer Corporation (MF), and a Private Military Company, and I, Sir, Would not see my business moved, broken up and destroyed as a result of your insecurities towards our right to defend and control our population, and to monitor our airspace, as my Lord has said, the heavy military presence is totally necessary in
A. Defending to Islands B. Guarding of the munitions, weapons systems and ship construction facilities on the islands.
There is a Para-Military presence in the form of MF-PMC, a private military company owned by MF, we have our own ships, soldiers and bases. In short, an act of war on the Kingdom will be taken as an act of war upon the Company, and we will respond accordingly, we have several heavily armed ships standing by, and several regiments of Quartz Troopers.
At your Peril Sir,
Good day Gentlemen.
