Video of The Fatherland
Well as you may already know we are currently approaching our 5th Birthday. Hence we are currently looking at a number of different projects to reignite the Nova English flame. Of course one of the main projects is the redesign of our main website. However another project that I wish to establish is that of a short introductory video. This is something that I would first like to explore ideas with then I can start doing a bit of shooting and editing and the like to make a decent video that we can add to the front page of our website.
Obvious we firstly need to figure out what the hell we want the video to be like. Well firstly it should be relatively short, use few stills and should act as a kinda summary to the overall culture of the Fatherland. So what we really need to then figure out is what should be displayed in the video and what needs to be actually filmed by us as well as what needs to be 'acquired' from the internet.
So please post any ideas that you have here and I will also provide a constant update on how stuff is going once we have a brief summary of what will be included in the video.

By the looks of it this project will be extended somewhat past the planned release date of the 28.07.10 possible till the 30.07.10 or maybe a few days later depending on any new ideas etc...
Oh and that reminds me... Alfred, Any decent inspiring but slightly harsh Church music that might fit in well with this?

Btw Alfred do you think 'Dies Irae' would be a pretty decent sounding background music to the Fatherland Video?

I apologise, Sire, that i didnt see this sooner. "Battle hymn of the republic" is a fairly militaristic piece of church music, and "onwards Christian soldiers" is rather brutal. Howevever it is entirely up to you

Now that is a pretty damm hard choice! I like both of those although the Battle hymn of the republic is a bit of a yank one....HARD CHOICE.

T'is, the best version of the battle hymn i've ever heard was on youtube, if you type "battle hymn of the republic london" in there's a version of it at St Paul's after 9/11. I has a bit of a glitch in the middle and George Carey rambles on a lot at the start but it's pretty good lol

I supose the question is now what should the actual content of the video include? - Marching Royal Guard
- Tanks?
- General Nova English life....

Aye! Good point!
Right well what I shall suggest is to get some links to any good youtube videos that we could use and I'll start chopping and editing them!

Hmmm the two countryside videos seem to contrast quite a lot, but the military ones are pretty good
