Right, our coalition wants independence, but how do we propose to acheive this?
Ideas anyone?

Yes, but we'd need more then the 4/5 signatures we'd come out with. Do any of us have any Riponian MSN contacts to talk to about it? Negociations and all that.

Hello,
Sorry I haven't seen this earlier, I was staying at my girlfriend's house all last week, so I haven't seen much of the internet.
I thought it would be easier if I came to you. So, why do you want independence? As far as I can tell, things are going absolutely right for Nova England at the moment, I mean, cultural things too. Look at that trade deal that's being negotiated with NEW at the moment, for sure that'll be big enough to give the Nova English economy the boost it absolutely needs. Why would you want to throw that away?
not just as a Riponian, but as an Exarch and thus a Nova Englishman, I see no real case for independence. Do please present it to me, and I shall contact the President.

Do please present it to me, and I shall contact the President. It's rather easier to explain over MSN, but the old crowd, who made Nova England a rather nice place to be back in the early days, are returning, with new skills, and new members. We do feel it is nice to be independant, and be able to expand, and feel as if we answer to no-one but ourselves. Does independance mean we lose the weapons deal? Surely a country can split, and still retain favourable ties with it's former parent nation?

Brother, If, as seems evident, the 'old crowd' is returning, then that's great. We all want Nova English success and growth, after all. Of course, I'm not sure what you mean by 'be able to expand', but I'm pretty sure that whatever you mean (territorially, membership etc.), you are quite capable of doing so at the moment, just you also get the benefits of being part of Riponia to boot. It would be ridiculous if Riponia proper were trying to 'pin you down' or whatever you might think. That be an odd course of action for us, insofar as Nova English success is Riponian success. I'm not really obliged to comment on any hypothetical situations re. the weapons deal. IMHO, there are favourable ties, and there are favourable ties, if you catch my drift.
