Since the days of the Evacuations and the Great Disaster, our planet has been besieged by beings of alien nature. These Ungecyndee have made claim to lands, infiltrated national governments and in the most recent case wiped both themselves and their enslaved population from the face of Micras. Although at this point in time the Faedertellus does not have a space programme, a full and detailed Witan review shall be put into place to identify the threats and seek to develop appropriate deterrents.

The Ungecynde Review Board shall be established to act as the focal point of this review and will liaise with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs and associated foreign partners. This is to enable a joined up approach to combating the threat of extermination from an outside force.

The URB will provide updates and reports based on these topics which shall be open to all members of the Witan to review.

Known Ungecynde

The following is a comprehensive list of Ungecynde identified by the Ministry of Defence;

Safir; Blue skinned humanoid race with four arms, first appearance on Micras was during the brief reign of Josephus II. These beings are a space faring race with colonies upon other planetary bodies. On Micras they initially claimed territory in the green before infiltrating the Shirerithian government. The Safir eventually lost their independent colony on Micras and are believed to have immigrated on-mass to Shirerithian territories where they continue to influence the regime.

Wyrm; Humanoid aliens that utilised advanced technology, believed according to intelligence to belong to a hive mind. This group absorbed the nation state of Vyktoria whereupon they unleashed Nano-bots amongst the Micran population of the region. Shortly after both the people of Vyktoria and the aliens disappeared from existence, leaving the region devoid of life. At this moment it is unknown if this was intentional or a catastrophic accident.

Daemons; Creatures of no uniform appearance, these beings have been recorded throughout history and mostly originated in Benacia. Through examination of historical data and more recent scientific evidence, it is believed that they are varying forms of inter-dimensional beings. Sources generally show that these creatures are highly dangerous.

Aead; These people are a humanoid group residing within the territories of Passio-Corum According to local religious beliefs, they are believed to be the descendants of an alien species that existed on the planet of Indigo.

Threats

In terms of the threats relating to creatures that are not of this world, one can highlight a number of examples presented within recent history. The most recent of which was the murder-suicide of the entire Vyktorian population by the alien race known as the Wrym, after they released Nanobots within the occupied territory. Other examples include the infiltration of Micran governments as was seen in Shireroth where a Safir was able to gain the position of Kaiser. To date they still influence the government from within the Senate. Nova England itself has been threatened and attacked by human supporters of these aliens. The most infamous of these attacks being the assassination of King Josephus II following his support of a number of Anti-Safir policies.

These examples show just some of the threats posed by alien species residing on this planet and known to the Faedertellus. To date we have not encountered a more openly militaristic alien threat, however with the contact already made with other species, it is now more a question of when rather than if. Should an alien species with advanced technology seek to subjugate Micras, the Faedertellus would be subjected a war of survival for not only Nova England but the human race.

Existing Deterrents

At this point in time there are no specific deterrents to counter alien threats. However conventional systems of the Nova English Armed Forces include the following;

Chemical Weapon Stocks; Our chemical weapon stocks are effective against most known organisms and despite not being tested on catalogued alien species are believed to still be lethal.

Project Divine Rain; The remainder of the Project Divine Rain testing magazine remains in a stable orbit around Micras. This Kinetic weapon systems could be used to counter spacefaring vessels and hardened targets on the surface of Micras. However the current system is severely handicapped by a limited amount of ammunition remaining on the test satellite.

Other Nations?; Nova England no longer has spacefaring capabilities, however both Shireroth and Natopia have invested heavily into these areas. Culminating in a multitude of space based weapons systems that could combat an invading alien race. However due to the imbalance this technology in the hands of two large powers creates, this deterrent cannot rest solely in their hands.

New Deterrents

Proposed deterrents for investment and further review;

Reactivation of Project Divine Rain; Production of additional Divine Rain satellite systems.

Reactivation of Project Quartz VIII; Research and production of advanced warfighting systems that would increase the fighting capability of the individual Nova English soldier.

Utilisation of Gravmetric Technology; Investigation and research into Gravmetric technology to create a fleet of vehicles capable of fighting spacefaring vessels.

Nuclear Armaments; Investigation and research into the creation of nuclear armanments to combat hostile alien forces.

NOTICE - Project Geatweard

Following the re-emergence of the alien race known as the Wrym the Ungecynde Review Board has approved with the moving forward of Project Geatweard. Appropriate funds shall be made available from the national budget to re-establish the Nova English Space Authority and begin research and development. In addition to this consultants from the Ministry of Defence and other related private enterprise shall be assigned to the project.

The URB in consultation with the Ministry of Defence will oversee the project to ensure due diligence and maximum effectiveness. The project shall ensure that the Faedertellus is able to properly defend itself against those beings that seek to do it harm. To guarantee the success of this project, all material relating to it shall be subject to classified status and persons seeking to disclosure or disrupt the project will be prosecuted under the ‘Anti-Terror Act’.
