The Beginings of a nation....
Around two thousand years ago a small tribe of strong warriors migrated North from the Great river. Their name was the L'Inghilterra Novum later known as the Nova English peoples. After whats now thought to be around ten to twenty years they managed to reach another river quite close to one of the highest mountians on this world. So the main group built the town of West Grinstead which was by the sea and the largest river, then smaller settlements were created around the outskirts. But still no one would travel to far in to the mountians in case the Tribe of East Moorlanders would attack them. However 500 years later and new chief was born.......
King John the Saviour- 500BC
The Kingdom of L'Inghilterra Novum started when a young man named John I of the Ashbee clan decided to unite the various clans and tribes of the River. He started his long journey when his father was murdered by Rebels whom forced John to flee to the mountians. However the rebels had not stopped him becoming chief of the Novum England Tribe. In the mountians of East Moorland he had taken 50 loyal soldiers with him and like he expected the first people he met were barbarians. However after his small force held off 200 barbarians anougher army appared from the top of the pass that the battle had been fought in. These people were the more civilised East Moorlanders whom came from the city of NewCastle Upon East Moor, they offered the exiled king to stay as long as he commanded the citys army. King John agreed and fought some 25 battles across the mountians. Until 10 years since his exile he had gained a force large anough to take back West Grinstead and his large army marched from the mountians and fought their way to West Grinstead.
This campaign was later known as the 'Rinascita del re' (Rebirth of the king). After a two year war King John was back in power for the first time and he decided that if his people were to be strong they must unite and so he set off on a journey to unite the various tribes and clans of the River. The first of City he came across was home to the people of the Barret clan whom welcomed this idea of unity. However some people did not always accept this so wars such as the battle of East Moorland came but then they died down. After 20 long years John I decided to convert the united tribes into a kingdom. Nearly all of the clans accepted however some of them fought against the idea. But with the new king being a clever man he set up the Witan which acted as a parliment and still does today. However in those days it mainly consited of all the clan chiefs and they would all vote for a "Witan cheif" where as we now vote for a prime minister. King John in the end died of what we think to have been cancer but he was given a heros funeral and his name is rembered for hundreads of years as well as the ideas of his Legionaires and the various military ideas he gave his children and his people. His remains now reside in the great statue of him at the castle of West Grinstead guarded by legionaires of the Holy Lance.
420BC-10AC Reign of wars
In the years following King Johns death his son was crowned King Cato the Wise. He was a very inteligent man and was the man responsable for our currency being formed in 590BC. However although he was loved by the people some of the East Moorlanders resented these new inventions coming to their towns. And after a reign of 40 years a East Moorlander snuck into the castle and although the king fought bravely the hostile man was no match for him and simple tossed him from his window onto the ground many floors below. Cato was avenged by Lucius the son of Cato's dead older brother. At this point the Reign of wars started, Lucius now king of the nation was faced by a huge hostile force forming up from the peaks of the great mountians. Nero the leader of the Southern Burwoodian army in the county of Surt sought a chance to grab the crown of the head from young Lucius. But only a man of King Johns blood would ever be allowed the crown. So Nero lead his army whom people now called the Surts into Huntsland the capital of Burwood. This once enough for Lucius who mounted a grand army to take back his land. Sadly his body was never found in the great battle but Nero had come out of it still alive but his forces were weakened and retreared back to what they called the Kingdom of Surtland. Tullia his widowed wife was left on the throne as well as her son Marcus and after a few years he was crowned King of the nation.
Soldiers had become few in the land and Marcus was in need so when the soldiers of the Theban offered he gladly accepted. From then on another few hundred years wars plagued the nation from the East and the West barbarians came and were killed.
11AD- Onwards
From then on not much major happened for many years the people of Nova England became stronger and started to trade with the Eastern peoples of the mountains. As time went by weaponry advanced and the tatics which had made the Nova English strong became a valiable trade tool.
